I replaced the SATA hard drive with a 2.5″ 500GB Solid State Drive (with a SATA interface), but it did not speed the laptop up enough, so the laptop was replaced. 500GB 2.5″ SSD (cleared, tested, and reinstalled with Windows 11 Pro).
