So, to use it as a regular laptop without external devices, a new keyboard and touchpad would be required and also a hard drive cable if you wanted to have it run off an internal hard drive. Due to the keyboard, hard drive and touchpad not working, I used an Ubuntu USB with an external keyboard and external mouse to get it to boot up so I could verify specs and the condition of the screen and wifi.
